Welcome to the virtual home of the
Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter (GCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Inc.!
Since chartering on March 8, 2003, the 250
plus
members of
Gwinnett County Alumnae
have committed themselves to answering our Founders clarion call to
service, guided by Delta’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust in the areas
of Economic Development, Educational Development, International
Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political
Awareness and Involvement. GCAC
hosts stellar programs such as our annual Taboo Tea, Delta Academy, and
Delta GEMS. Additionally, our chapter hosts political and economic
forums; donates thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating
seniors to help fund college expenses; and supports community events
which include Gwinnett Relay for Life, Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful
Campaign, Gwinnett Great Days of Service, and the annual AIDS Walk & 5K
Run.
During the next two years,
GCAC is committed to extending her
reach in the Gwinnett community by providing
visible hands-on service, developing new partnerships with organizations
that share the chapter’s mission, and strengthening current partnerships
to further refine and enhance GCAC’s
public service programs.
GCAC
recognizes the world is constantly changing. To that end, we are a
chapter that welcomes new thoughts and ideas, and strives to capitalize
on new opportunities that enhance the lives of Gwinnett County citizens.
Together, with our extraordinary partners,
GCAC
will LEAD THE WAY in making a
positive difference in the Gwinnett community.
Thank you for taking time to visit our
website. I hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
Yours in Service,
